32 位版本（x86 版本）

  • Aero Stars作为一个动画效果，显示星星在屏幕上弹跳。

64 位版本（x64 版本）

  • 与 Windows Longhorn build 4051 的 64 位版本无多大区别，但是改良了基本显示驱动。
  • 不包括桌面应用程序和一些资源管理器窗口以及边栏。

注意事项

安装显卡驱动并重新启动，打开 C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes，复制 Jade 文件夹和 jade.theme 文件到桌面并重命名为aero。

打开 aero.theme，将 DisplayName=@themeui.dll,-2013 改为 DisplayName=Aero，并将所有提到 jade 的地方都改为 aero，然后将他们放回 C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes。

打开注册表编辑器，进入 HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer 项，添加 DWORD 键 MilExplorer，并将值改为 1。打开显示属性，将主题改为 Aero。使用下面的命令开启和关闭 桌面窗口管理器（建议将下列命令另存为bat文件）。

  • 修复文件夹无法在同进程内打开

首先从 C:\Windows 路径里把 explorer.exe 复制为副本，然后把这个副本重命名为 DesktopExplorer.exe ，重命名完成后要和 explorer.exe 放在一起。

  • WinFS

默认情况下此版本上未启用。要启用 Windows 未来存储 ，用户必须将这些服务的启动类型设置为自动，分别是 SAM WinFS Account Store 和 Computer Data Synchronization Manager。 如果这些列出的服务未启用或未运行，则依赖于 WinFS 的程序（如 Outlook Express）可能会崩溃。

  • Sticky Notes

此版本包含一个 Sticky Notes 应用程序，类似于 Windows Longhorn build 4042 (Lab06_n) 中的应用程序，但由于缺少 DLL（即 stickynotebubble.dll）而无法启动。 这个丢失的DLL可以在 Windows Longhorn build 4081 安装光盘的 \build\filerepository 文件夹中找到。 将上述 DLL 复制到 C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Windows\v6.0.4030 文件夹中的 StickyNote.exe 文件的同一目录中，然后在运行对话框中键入 %windir%\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Windows\v6.0.4030\StickyNote.exe /new 以启动 Sticky Notes。
